NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Department of Correction and the Sex Offender Treatment Board announce plans for the annual Sex Offender Treatment Conference themed; “Sex Offender Containment: Collaboration, Supervision and Treatment.”
This year, the focus is on closing the gap between professionals responsible for policy development, probation/parole supervision and treatment.
“It is impossible to implement effective sex offender containment without collaboration. The community needs safety and justice; an enormous responsibility exists,” said Sex Offender Treatment Board, Presiding Officer Jeanine C. Miller, PhD.

Perpetration Prevention
Nationally known experts will deliver sessions on Restorative Justice for Victims as well as Myths and Facts About Residency Restrictions.
The conference will be held from August 21-24, 2006 at the Embassy Suites Hotel, Cool Springs.
