NASHVILLE – TennCare fraud charges are lodged against three people in Wayne County, including a husband and wife, involving the sale of prescription drugs paid for by TennCare.  The arrests were the result of work by the Office of Inspector General (OIG) and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

NASHVILLE – A Sevier County woman has been arrested for attempting to use TennCare to fill a forged prescription.

NASHVILLE – A husband and wife in Hamilton County are charged with TennCare fraud for using another person’s TennCare benefits to pay for fraudulent prescriptions.

NASHVILLE – A Wayne County woman is charged in Davidson County on a warrant for selling prescription drugs paid for by TennCare.

NASHVILLE – A Davidson County woman has been charged twice with TennCare fraud and other charges, and now she’s been convicted for identity theft in connection with the charges.  The Office of Inspector General (OIG) today announced the conviction of Charity Watts, 30, of Greenbrier.

NASHVILLE– A Madison County woman has been indicted for TennCare fraud involving “doctor shopping,” or using TennCare to visit multiple doctors in a short time period to obtain prescriptions for a controlled substance.

NASHVILLE – A Knox County woman has been arrested for using TennCare to pay for forged prescription drugs.

NASHVILLE– The owner of an Overton County pharmacy has pleaded guilty to six felony counts, including TennCare fraud, in Overton County Criminal Court.

NASHVILLE – An Anderson County woman is charged with TennCare fraud in nearby Roane County, for allegedly using TennCare to get pain medication that she planned to sell.

NASHVILLE – A Shelby County woman has been indicted for allegedly defrauding the TennCare program of more than $29,000.
